Prefer Something More Private or Comfortable?
Here are some alternative accommodations nearby in the beautiful Valle Maggia.
Alternative Accommodations in Valle Maggia
The Maggia valley is a stunning and remote area. The closest village down in the valley is Cevio, about a 10-minute drive or 1-hour steep walk from Linescio. There are also several guesthouses, hotels, and holiday rentals scattered throughout the valley.
-
🏨 Hotels in the Area:
-
🏡 Holiday Rentals
Holiday homes can be found on Booking or Airbnb. Some places we liked:- Casa Viola – Further up the valley (~15 min drive from Linescio).
- Casa Laura – A simple holiday home directly in Cevio.
- Goat Farm Place – We stayed here ourselves once on a climbing trip. Beautiful spot further down the valley. Bonus: lots of goats! 🐐
-
✨ Luxury Option: Locanda Fior Di Campo – A boutique hotel about a 20-minute drive further up the valley from Linescio. Very remote, but also very comfortable.
🥾 Outdoor Adventures
We love to hike, climb, and explore! The area around Valle Maggia has plenty to offer. Here are some of our favorite hiking and climbing spots.
